MACH 4^® Trimming System Gets Rave Reviews

Indestructible Line Trimmer
I admit I'm hard on string trimmers, which means I'm constantly replacing string. The MACH 4^® Trimming System uses tough, flexible blades instead of string, so I was excited to give it a try. Well, the Mach4 did an excellent job of standing up to tough weeds and wasn't perturbed by an occasional (OK, frequent) run-in with a fence post. Plain old grass was a walk in the park....[Line blade] Replacement is simple, in fact easier than winding a string onto a spool....

"I did find that it works well at lower speeds. It is advantageous because of its resilience as compared to string. As someone pointed out to me the other day, we tend to buy string in bulk. It dries out over time and snaps often. Also, the auto feed function never seems to work right. I did not have to stop once to replace the blades while I cut my yard. “The package arrived, it fit, and it works! Your patience in figuring out a unit that would work on my Stihl trimmer was appreciated. It requires a slightly different approach when weed whacking – instead of “plunging” into an area, I found I had to work my way in from the edges. However, it does not tangle weeds around the unit as the old one did. The stringing problem is solved which was the most annoying thing about the original head.

“I just installed the line blade on my trimmer yesterday and I have to tell you I absolutely LOVE IT! It took me a bit of work to get the original head off of my Ryobi because there’s a type of lock washer that holds it onto the arbor that requires some effort to get off. Once I did, I just tapped the head a bit and it came right off. Installing the Mach 4 was a breeze. The only (very minor) fault I found was it doesn’t work well in narrow places because the line blades don’t have quite the flexibility that regular line does. That is very irrelevant when I think of never having to wind another spool or deal with the hassle of the line not feeding properly! You have a customer for life but judging from how well the blades are holding up and all the extras you included, it may not be frequent. Thank you for such a wonderful invention!”

“Wow, what a GREAT product! I was anxious to get my Mach 4, and when I got home today it wasn’t here, so I fired up the weedeater and tried to cut down some of the heavy growth next to the driveway. About 1 min. later, I had to turn it off and pull out some more line. About a minute after that I turned it off with a little 1” nub left and went on in the house, wishing that Aero-flex would get here, but of course I only just ordered it last week. I got in the house and was exstatic to find the box on the counter. I looked through everything during dinner, including the hand written and signed directions from Vince Morabit. I took it outside and about 2 min. later I was chopping through some of the thickest blackberry vines you ever saw like I had a chainsaw. We’re talking up to an inch thick and it ate them up. Unfortunately it got dark too soon, I was having way too much fun. I cut back a strip about 10’ deep and 40’ long of nothing but big thick blackberry and wild rose, and when I was done, I had worn about a third of the blades off and they were still cutting fine. I’d just like to say thanks, this thing rocks! I will tell all the “yard birds” at work they have to try it. Everything should be this easy to install! The blades fit perfectly and mount in seconds. I am northing but pleased.”
